Timing: About 4-5 months to go, and prices have been flat for 9 days. Black Friday (Nov 27) is four weeks out and is the first real chance for a deal. Honda's battery mowers are already on sale ($749 HRX-BV, $999 HRX-BE), but they're out of stock or backordered at Cutler's, so expect spring restocks in February and March. The gas HRX ($599) is old stock that Honda won't replace, so buy it before spring if it's your pick.

McLane 20" self-propelled reel mowers cut as low as 1/4" (for golf-green-style turf) but start around $1,499 (Lawn Land).
Honda HRC216 commercial gas mowers are out of production. The battery HRC-BE is $1,699 on honda.com.
Ariens LM21SW (swivel wheels, Kawasaki engine, 1" lowest cut): I couldn't confirm a live price or stock. Ariens also sells a dealer-only swivel-wheel kit for some of its 21" mowers.
Scam warning: mowerdepotusa.com lists mowers at prices that are too good to be true ($57 Craftsman, $164 Honda HRX). Avoid it.
Scam/stale warning (10/24): search results still show mowerpoint.com selling a Cub Cadet CC 600 for $671.65 and an Ariens LM21SW for $565.60. That domain is now a Vietnamese gambling site, so those prices aren't real.
Toro TurfMaster HDX 30" with casters (22236): a commercial-grade caster-front mower, listed at $3,299 on pre-order at Acme Tools (search listing 10/27; I couldn't open the page). Far over budget, so I'm not adding it as a card.
Greenworks Commercial 82V Optimus ATM 30" with swivel casters (ATM30C): 1/2" lowest cut and a 12-gauge steel deck, but $2,999.99 (tool only) and sold out (greenworkscommercial.com, 10/28). Far over budget and battery, so it isn't a card.

Scag SFC-30 / SFCII-30 (30" commercial, Kohler CV224, swivel front casters): $2,999 MSRP (scag.com / EquipKo, 10/30). Exmark Commercial 30 X-Series with pivoting front wheels: $3,099 cash price (exmark.com, 10/30). Both cut 1.5"-5", so they're too high-cutting and far over budget for cards.
Unverified (10/30): shoplawnmower.com lists the Cub Cadet CC 600 at $949.99 'in stock' plus $180 shipping. It's an unfamiliar storefront (footer still says 2025), so treat it with caution and don't count it as a real price.
Honda HRX217HYA (gas HRX with hydrostatic Cruise Control and Roto-Stop, 3/4" cut): Honda MSRP $1,099 (honda.com, 10/24), and it's out of production. I added the battery HRX-BE ($999) as a card instead because it has the same Roto-Stop and the gas version isn't being made anymore.
